Looking for a hosting provider? If you're interested in moving off wordpress.com or blogspot.com (both of which i LOVE, but it may be time for more flexibility), you can check out this list of web hosting reviews.

There's a Cheap Web Hosting 2008 list, comparing providers like Inmotion, Bluehost, Yahoo, etc. My personal favorite is Hostmonster, which made fourth on the top ten list for web hosting, with four and half out of five possible stars. I use it for my main site, and have had pretty good experiences with their 24/7 tech support chat.

Also, it's cheap, which is a major concern for me and probably most people who have a smallish hobby blog, not a huge business site. This list is well-organized, and it'll save you from harrassing your friends to tell you what they use and whether they'd recommend their current hosting provider (not that I did that!).

You can use this list to find the cheapest provider, or look for one who offers a free domain name, or unlimited space, or whatever you're looking for. If you've had a fantastic or a terrible experience with a hosting provider, you can leave a review to encourage others to use a great product (or warn newbies away from an awful company, most commenters have written in to share a horror story or problem they've had), and you can also read what others have said.
