For a few years after our kids were grown and on their own, I didn't do much cooking. I'd spent several decades whipping up nutritious meals for the family and to be perfectly honest, I was tired of doing it. So I didn't. Instead, my husband and I ate a bunch of stuff that was quick and easy. And full of fat. And sugar. And calories. Soon, we were full of fat, too.
So I've returned to the kitchen, eagerly. I have a beautiful and nice kitchen with plenty of room. We've got ample cabinet and counter space, and it's all set up to be fairly user-friendly. What we don't have is an Enclume pot rack. You know what I'm talking about -- those gorgeous racks that hang from the ceilings of movie kitchens, filled with gleaming copper pans.
I love that look. Plus, it's got to be nice to have all of your cookware so readily available -- no more fumbling around, looking for just the right saucepan. Enclume pot racks come in a whole bunch of sizes and finishes, so I'm certain that there is at least one that would look great hanging in my kitchen.
I think a kitchen update is in order -- one that reflects our new dedication to eating well. There are uses for Enclume potracks beyond the kitchen, too. I'm considering a small one for the kids arts & crafts room downstairs. Having all of their brushes and other supplies easily accessible (yet out of their reach!) should make it a lot easier to keep the room tidy and make the most of the limited space!
